This project has been an incredible three-month journey, where I had the chance to hone some of my technical skills, create a few tools to speed up my workflow, and learn new techniques for environment creation and optimization.
I deviated from the original concept because I wanted to add my own touch to this environment, and I am really pleased with the result. I implemented several techniques and engine features to bring the project to life, including Nanite, MegaLights, PCGs, Utility widgets, Niagara, and VDBs. To optimize my workflow, I even created a Blender Addon, which helped me speed up essential tasks and focus on more critical aspects of the project.
I owe a big thanks to my amazing mentor, Salvador Sanchez, whose lighting skills and knowledge really helped push the project to higher standards. Paul Layton, with his endless pool of resources for PCGs and technical knowledge, has also been invaluable in aiding this project's completion. Additionally, I want to thank Justin Wallace and Tiger Yang for their great support and constructive critiques, which were an absolute bliss during our weekly labs.
P.S if you reach this point, I love putting easter eggs in my works, so if you see something that seems oddly familiar in the sci-fi world, it should be there.
